Polomolok Dialysis Center nears completion, brings life-saving care closer to communities

South Cotabato , December 23,2025 — The Dialysis Center at Polomolok Municipal Hospital in Barangay Pagalunan has reached the final inspection stage, marking a meaningful step forward in improving access to life-saving healthcare services in the province under the Proyektong Angat Para sa Lahat.

According to the Inspectorate Unit of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato , project with a total cost of ₱4,996,494.81, was built to respond to the growing need for dialysis services, one of the most demanding and costly forms of long-term medical care for patients with kidney disease.

Under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo Sucayan Tamayo Jr., the provincial government continues to push for “Tama at Maayos” service, translating policy into facilities that directly touch people’s lives.

For many patients in Polomolok and nearby towns, the new dialysis center means fewer long trips, less financial strain, and better chances of sustaining treatment that often determines quality of life, and in many cases, survival.

Beyond immediate relief for patients and their families, the facility is expected to bring lasting gains to the local healthcare system.

It strengthens the service capability of Polomolok Municipal Hospital, helps address the increasing cases of chronic kidney disease, and eases pressure on larger hospitals that often carry the burden of dialysis patients from surrounding areas.

The Inspectorate Unit noted that the completion of the project reflects the provincial government’s long-term investment in health as a cornerstone of development.

By bringing specialized medical services closer to the community, the Dialysis Center stands not just as a new structure, but as a commitment, one that places accessible, dignified healthcare at the heart of South Cotabato’s progress.
