For overcoming 11 challenges at the fastest time possible, Polomolok LGU won the first-ever Race to Eleven Eco-Challenge initiated by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit held last November 11-12 which is celebrated annually as foundation anniversary and Helobung Festival of Lake Sebu.
Except for Tantangan and Tupi LGUs, the remaining 8 towns and lone City of the province performed series of challenges that started with zumba exercise at the South Cotabato Sports Complex, City of Koronadal. The challenges followed the Polomolok-Tupi-Tampakan-Tantangan-Banga-Norala-Sto. Nino-Surallah-Tboli route and ended at the town plaza of Lake Sebu, which is the official finish line of the race.
The challenges consisted of Jigsaw Puzzle (Coronadal), Facemask-Lanyard Challenge (Polomolok), “Fruit Salad” (Tupi), “Lum-Alay” (Tampakan), “Harry Potter” (Tantangan), “Something Fishy” (Banga); “Kainan Overload” (Norala), “Just Dance” (Sto. Nino), River Challenge (Surallah), “Beads of Roses” (Tboli) and IP Game (Lake Sebu).,
For their feat, Polomolok received P15,000 cash prize during the awarding ceremony held at Centro Inn and Ultimate Water Tubing, Tasiman, Lake Sebu attended by Lake Sebu Mayor Floro Gandam and DOT XII O-I-C Armin Hautea.
Placing second and third places respectively were Tampakan LGU and Surallah LGU with cash incentives of P10,000 and P8,000. Lake Sebu received a Special award as Best Attire (P1,000), Norala as Most Active Team (P1,000), Polomolok as Most Discipline Team (P1,000) and Sto. Nino as Best in Tik-tok (P1,000). Consolation prize of P5,000 each were likewise awarded to non-winners.
