South Cotabato, Philippines — The Polomolok Municipal Hospital (PMH) Dialysis Center has expanded its operations to three dialysis sessions per day, increasing its capacity to serve more patients requiring regular renal replacement therapy and reinforcing South Cotabato’s commitment to accessible and quality healthcare.
Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. underscored the importance of expanding healthcare services to meet the needs of residents, emphasizing that every South Cotabateño deserves access to quality medical care regardless of location.
“Our goal is to bring government services closer to the people and ensure that healthcare remains accessible to those who need it most,” Tamayo said, reiterating the provincial government’s commitment to strengthening public health facilities and improving specialized medical services across South Cotabato.
Previously operating with one to two treatment shifts daily, the facility can now accommodate more patients, reducing waiting times and ensuring that individuals with chronic kidney disease receive timely and life-sustaining care closer to home.
The PMH Dialysis Center was established as part of the provincial government’s continuing efforts to decentralize specialized healthcare services and lessen the burden on patients who previously had to travel long distances for treatment.
With additional treatment schedules now available, more South Cotabateños can access essential renal care without leaving their communities.
The facility is equipped with modern dialysis machines and staffed by trained healthcare professionals dedicated to providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered treatment.
Beyond increasing service capacity, the expansion is expected to improve the overall treatment experience for patients by offering more flexible schedules and reducing congestion in existing dialysis units.
Hospital officials said the enhancement reflects the collective efforts of healthcare workers, local government leaders, and partner agencies in ensuring that patients battling kidney disease receive the care and support they need.
