South Cotabato, Philippines — In preparation for the upcoming T’nalak Festival Agri Fair 2025, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) changed the location of the Plant and Agri fair to Protech Center this year.
Dr. Raul Teves, Provincial Agriculturist and committee head of Agri and Plant Fair, took initial steps to ensure a well-organized, vibrant, and successful celebration of this annual event.
“We will provide the best venue in order to accommodate more visitors while showing the best of our Agri Fair this T’nalak Festival 2025.”
One of the major initiatives this year is the improvement and preparation of the ProTech Compound, which will serve as the new venue for the Plant Fair and the Kadiwa ng Pangulo event.
According to Provincial Agriculturist Raul Teves, the facility’s improvement was carried out with the support of the Office of the Provincial General Services and the Office of the Provincial Engineer.
Their efforts focused on cleaning and preparing the area to ensure a comfortable and presentable space for participants, buyers, and visitors.
The event will also showcase high-quality agricultural products, nursery plants, and ornamental plants from various towns across South Cotabato, as well as from neighboring provinces. With the transfer of the Plant Fair and Kadiwa ng Pangulo from Dhalia and Waling-waling Streets to the ProTech Compound, greater public participation is anticipated, along with a more dynamic flow of trade during the festival.
OPAG continues to coordinate with other local government offices to ensure the success of this year’s Agri Fair.
“The event also aims to strengthen public support for local farmers and producers by encouraging the purchase of their harvests and goods,” Dr. Teves added.
This preparation reflects the strong commitment of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato to advancing the agricultural sector and providing greater opportunities for the development of its people across the province.
