Collection on the Sand and Gravel and Mining (SGM) Tax from January to July this year has now reached P10,822,913.28, the Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) reported.
The increase was due to the collection for the month of July which amounted to P1,448,077.50.
Earlier, the Provincial Treasurer’s Office (PTO) collected P9,374,835.78 from January to June this year.
The present average monthly collection for the 7-month collection is now higher when it registered P1,546,130.47, compared to P1,197,682.71 monthly average collection last year.
Likewise, with the total collection of almost P11 million, the province’s share now amounted to P4,426,686.91.
Provincial imposition on SGM tax includes Sand and Gravel Tax, Mining Tax, Mining Permit Fee, Ore Transport Fee, Occupational Mining Tax, Verification Fee, Filing Fee, Permit Fee, Projection Fee, Processing Fee, Fines/Penalties/Surcharges and Miscellaneous (Delivery Receipts).
