Provincial child development workers congress celebrates unity and service for young learners

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato held the 2025 Child Development Workers (CDW) Congress from October 20 to 22 at Mt. Sabrina Resort in Glan, Sarangani Province, through the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development.

The event was spearheaded by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. and the OPSWDO headed by Sonia L. Bautista.

The three-day congress brought together 664 Child Development Workers from across the province in a celebration of unity, service, and dedication to the holistic growth of young learners.

The sessions include on professional appearance, nutrition updates, and an NC III orientation, equipping CDWs with new knowledge and skills related to early childhood care and development. The day ended with a heartfelt Worship Night, which reinforced the Congress’s core values of being mapagkalinga (compassionate), makabayan (patriotic), and makabata (child-centered).

The congress provided zumba for wellness, team-building activities, and the SOCOFEDWA General Assembly.

The participants also received their honoraria as a gesture of appreciation for their invaluable service.

The Child Development Workers Congress 2025 stood as a meaningful celebration of dedication and unity, reaffirming the commitment of every CDW to provide quality early childhood care and education.

Through this annual gathering, the Provincial Government continues to strengthen the foundation of early learning and inspire child development workers to shape a brighter, more nurturing future for every child in South Cotabato.
