KORONADAL CITY — The Office of the Provincial Engineer has assured the public that infrastructures and government buildings in the Province of South Cotabato remain structurally sound following the series of earthquakes that recently affected parts of Mindanao.
Engr. Erizaldy Quines, Division Chief of the Construction Division, confirmed that inspection teams were immediately deployed to assess the condition of ongoing and completed infrastructure projects across the province.
The assessment covered major roads, bridges, and public facilities under the supervision of the Provincial Government.
“Based on our thorough inspection and monitoring, all infrastructures in the province remain safe and have sustained no damage from the recent earthquakes,” said Engr. Quines.
The engineering team conducted immediate evaluations in coordination with the field engineers to ensure the safety of our constituents and the continuity of our infrastructure operations.
Engr. Quines further emphasized that PEO remains proactive in its monitoring efforts, particularly in areas with newly completed projects and structures located near fault lines or geologically sensitive zones.
The Provincial Government reiterated its commitment to ensuring that all infrastructure programs adhere to national engineering standards and remain resilient against natural hazards.
