KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato formally released ₱3 million in financial assistance to the South Cotabato Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (SCCSF Coop) during a ceremonial turnover aimed at strengthening the cooperative’s capacity to support local entrepreneurs, cooperatives, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the province.
The ceremonial turnover was attended by officers of the South Cotabato Credit Surety Fund (SCCSF) Cooperative, together with Board Member Nilda B. Almencion, chairperson of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Committee on Cooperatives; Atty. Renette B. Bergado, Provincial Cooperative Development Officer; Alvim Batol, representative of the Provincial Treasurer’s Office; Hernanie Villanueva, Executive Assistant from the Office of the Governor; Marlon Serilo, Supervising Cooperative Development Specialist; and Jurich Basan, Cooperative Development Specialist II.
During the activity, Board Member Nilda B. Almencion said, “This financial assistance reflects the Provincial Government’s continued commitment to strengthening the cooperative sector by expanding access to credit and financial services.”
She added that through this support, the SCCSF Cooperative will be better equipped to assist its member cooperatives and provide greater financial opportunities for entrepreneurs, helping create more livelihood and business opportunities across the province.
Officers of the SCCSF Cooperative expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Government, saying the assistance will significantly enhance the cooperative’s capacity to serve its members and broaden access to financing for local entrepreneurs.
The support is expected to enhance the lending capability of the SCCSF Cooperative, enabling more local businesses and cooperatives to access financing for growth and development.
The initiative forms part of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusive economic development by empowering cooperatives as key partners in improving livelihoods and stimulating local economic activity.
