Provincial government pushes flood control efforts with box culvert project in Tboli

Tboli, South Cotabato – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato continues to strengthen its flood control measures with the ongoing construction of a box culvert at Sitio San Spangan, Barangay Lemsnolon, Tboli, South Cotabato.

With a total project cost of ₱5,996,426.02, the initiative is part of the province’s ongoing infrastructure program, aimed at ensuring safer communities, reducing the risk of flooding, and protecting vital road networks from damage caused by heavy rains and overflowing waterways.

The project aims to reduce flood-related risks in the community by improving water flow in the area, particularly during heavy rains. The ongoing projects are targeted to benefit the community, especially the low-lying communities within the area.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. underscored the importance of such projects in building resilient communities, especially in geographically-isolated areas in the province, in ensuring a steadfast and simultaneous development of all sectors in the province.

“Lagi ko namang sinasabi na sa lahat ng aspekto ng development dapat lahat sabay-sabay, walang naiiiwan” the governor said.

The project, which remains ongoing, reflects the continuing commitment of the Provincial Government to deliver long-term infrastructure solutions that directly benefit residents across South Cotabato.
