The Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) has completed 39 projects worth P149,770,815.23 from January to June this year.
Engr. Vicente Ayongao, PEO Officer-in-Charge disclosed that the projects consisted of vertical and horizontal structures as well as payment for labor expense for low-budget projects.
Major infrastructure works undertaken were the construction, completion or rehabilitation of roads, namely; Polomolok–Cannery Road in Polomolok (P11.977,975.24), Lambayong–Maltana Road with Lined Canal in Tampakan (P13,13,253,055.07), National Highway Junction–Acmonan Road in Polomolok (P9,884,508.30), Norala – Banga Road (P47,487,922.63), Poblacion–Slaughterhouse Road in Norala (P9,931,934.28) and Upgrading of San Jose-Columbio Provincial Road, Koronadal City (P3,340,000).
Other projects consisted of construction of day care centers, senior citizen buildings, school buildings, gym, covered court and stage, barangay halls, multi-purpose building, multi-purpose drying pavement, water system, lined canal, slope protection, playground system and improvements of provincial government offices.
Aside from the projects accomplished during the 6-month period, PEO also reported that as of June 30 this year, some 46 projects worth P202,822,809.64 are still on-going.
