More developmental projects will be implemented to the remote villages in South Cotabato as the Provincial Task Force –End Local Communism and Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) composed of various agencies will converge to bring social and economic services, and lasting peace to the beneficiaries.
One of the priority areas to be served are the 54 sitios of Brgy. Ned in Lake Sebu. Based on the list of Priority Programs and Projects and Activities (PPAs) to be implemented this year, at least Php71.5 million is the total amount requested for the following sectors.
Php16.9 million for the social services which will include the construction of 13 units of health centers, construction of 7 units classroom school buildings, 100 units housing construction, and 1 unit daycare center.
Php7 million for economic services to include agricultural inputs to 100 farmers for the first phase, tourism site development to the three areas of 7 lakes, lake Sabog and Upper Salban, and entrepreneurship which is the provision of capital to 50 persons.
Php1 million for the environmental sector to include the distribution of fruit trees and seedlings to 7 sitios, and nd Php6.5 million for the institutional development sector to include the establishment of 4 units tribal house and other multi-purpose halls, and the construction of two units covered court.
Early this week, the task force conducted its 3rd Quarterly Meeting at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center with Atty. Renette B. Bergado as the Presiding Officer representing Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.
Presented during the meeting was the accomplishment report of various clusters. These include Peace and Order Cluster presented by the PNP; Social Services, and Sectoral Unification Cluster presented by the PSWDO and the Governance Cluster presented by the PGO.
The PTF-ELCAC is set to visit again Sitio Blit of Brgy Ned in Lake Sebu for the launching of the Project IPEACE and Project Tala on July 29, 2020.
