PUI who died while in hospital, five others tested negative from Covid-19

The Person Under Investigation (PUI) who died while in hospital and five other patients turned out to be negative against Covid-19, the Integrated Provincial Health Office disclosed.
Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rogelio Aturdido said, the result of the 51 years old patient coming from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine of the Department of Health (DOH-RITM) came early today together with five other PUIs and all were tested negative.
“This is a relief for us that South Cotabato remains Covid-19 free.” He said,
The province has a total of 24 PUIs and 16 were already discharged without symptoms and are safe to go home. All of them were tested negative.
At least four are still waiting for their result, while another four are still pending.
The number of PUMs has reached 2,302 with 656 already graduated from the 14-day home quarantine, while the remaining 1,646 are still on-going with their home quarantine.
Aturdido reminds these PUMs to abide by the protocols of the health department to remain in their homes while on quarantine.
“There are still a few who remain stubborn with the home quarantine, they should cooperate.” He said,
He added, if they will not follow these procedures, the will be face violations and suffer the consequences.
The province still faces the challenge of the lack of testing kits and is still waiting for the provision of the DOH.
With the scarcity of the supply, he is happy there are no so-called Very Important Persons (VIPs) in the province who take advantage of being tested, just like what is happening in the Luzon.
“Let us remain vigilant, cooperative and always stay at home.” He said
