RST Banga federation marks 6 years of grassroots service and community empowerment

Banga South Cotabato, Philippines | December 6, 2025 – The spirit of volunteerism, unity, and public service came alive as the Re-Enforce Services Taskforce (RST) Banga Federation marked its 6th Foundation Anniversary alongside the 3rd RST Re-Enforce Services Activity in the Municipality of Banga.

The celebration was more than a milestone—it was a testament to how empowered citizens can drive positive change at the grassroots level.

In his message, Executive Assistant IV Dennis C. Dignadice of the Office of the Provincial Governor–Barangay Affairs Unit underscored the provincial government’s continued support for programs that strengthen community leadership.

“The initiatives, like the RST, play a vital role in bringing government services directly to the people, ensuring that even the farthest barangays are heard, supported, and served,” Dignadice emphasized.

RST Banga Federation President Arjay H. Pelle shared how the program has transformed the lives of its members.

“Through RST, volunteers gain not only skills and leadership experience but also a stronger sense of purpose in serving their communities,” Pelle said.

He noted that the federation has become an important partner in advancing the grassroots programs of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., particularly those focused on inclusive and responsive governance.

Pelle also expressed gratitude for how the RST boosted his confidence as a volunteer and benefited his family through provincial programs such as free education and free hospitalization.

The activity gathered representatives from all 22 Barangays, reflecting the federation’s wide reach and the strong cooperation among barangay leaders and volunteers.

The event was further strengthened by the full support of the Office of the Provincial Governor, reaffirming the administration’s recognition of the RST as a key link between the government and the people.

Established under the leadership of Governor Tamayo, the RST was created to ensure that government programs are well-coordinated, monitored, and felt at the community level.

RST Banga Federation Treasurer Gemma Calfoloro echoed this sentiment, saying the program teaches volunteers to serve selflessly and put community welfare above personal interest.

“Its officers help facilitate information dissemination, project monitoring, and direct engagement with residents,” Dignadice stressed out.

As it celebrates six years of service, the RST Banga Federation continues to stand as a strong symbol of active citizenship, empowered leadership, and genuine public service—working hand in hand with the provincial government for a better and more inclusive South Cotabato.
