Salary increase for PSB and non-teaching personnel in South Cotabato to take effect in 2026

KORONADAL CITY — A salary increase for Provincial School Board teachers and non-teaching personnel in South Cotabato will be implemented starting 2026, according to Acting Provincial Administrator and Provincial Community Development Office (PCDO) head, Atty. Renette B. Bergado. Atty. Bergado announced that a total of 1,450 employees are set to benefit from the salary adjustment.

These include 526 PSB teachers, 206 Learning Support Aides (LSAs), 118 clerks, 297 utility personnel, 299 security personnel, and four ALS mobile teachers, based on records as of December 2025.

“This will be a big help to our PSB personnel, who are our partners in delivering free education to students in South Cotabato,” Atty. Bergado said.

Under the new salary schedule, the monthly pay of LSAs and clerks will increase from ₱8,000 to ₱8,500. Meanwhile, the salaries of utility and security personnel will rise from ₱7,000 to ₱7,500, while those currently receiving ₱6,000 will be increased to ₱6,500 per month.

Atty. Bergado added that the initiative aims to improve the welfare of provincial employees and further strengthen the delivery of public services, particularly in the education sector.
