CITY OF KORONADAL — The South Cotabato Culture and Arts Council (SCCAC) is now preparing for the National Heritage Month (NHM) celebration celebrated every month of May spearheaded by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit.
During the first quarter SCCAC meeting presided by ACTM Chief Senior Tourism Operations Officer Argie Ryan Asaria held here at Aqua Frio recently, ACTM discussed their accomplishments for the first quarter and proposed programs for the second quarter of 2022.
ACTM Arts & Culture Coordinator Indira Cagaanan presented the first quarter accomplishments and likewise the proposed activities of the May 2022 NHM celebration.
The proposed activities for the month-long celebration include training /seminar among provincial government employees on Filipino Brand of Service Excellence(FBSE) to be conducted by the Department of Tourism Region 12, Sinedokyu Season 7, Filipino Heritage Display and culmination program that will highlight the Book Launching of cultural worker/teacher Reden Ulo entitled “100 Designs of Tnalak Cloth.”
Other proposed activities for the second quarter under the Cultural Mapping Project are Scoping and Negotiation, Social Preparation – Orientation and Organization of Local Mapping Team and Identification of Cultural Icons.
ACTM likewise will conduct an Updating of Local Cultural Directory/Inventory in the Second quarter of the year.
