KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — South Cotabato Provincial Hospital (SCPH) has been recognized as a Healthy Workplace at the regional level, following a validation conducted by the Department of Health–Center for Health Development (DOH XII).
“A healthy workplace is a happy place! We continue to promote physical, mental and social well being for every employee. Healthy workers, better care” Lewanie C. Bolivar, RN, MAN- Nurse III said.
The citation affirms SCPH’s continuing efforts to foster a safe, healthy, and supportive workplace for its workforce, an approach hospital administrators consider integral to delivering quality patient care.
Leading the preparation was the SCPH TWG, which consolidated the hospital’s documentation and presented its workplace wellness programs and accomplishments to assessors from the Department of Health (DOH) XII as part of the regional evaluation.
Hospital officials attributed the recognition to sustained collaboration across departments and the implementation of programs focused on employee wellness, workplace safety, healthy lifestyle promotion, and the development of a positive organizational culture.
For the provincial government, which has continued to expand access to free hospitalization and specialized medical services, the recognition highlights another dimension of its health agenda: strengthening not only the services provided to patients but also the workforce responsible for delivering them.
Hospital officials said the recognition would further motivate SCPH to sustain and expand its workplace health initiatives, reinforcing the view that quality healthcare begins not only at the bedside, but also with a workforce that is healthy, safe, and supported.
