Twenty (20) winners during the first judging of the Search for Clean and Green Household in Lake Sebu were evaluated on August 26 – 28 after making it for the second round of the contest.
The first round winners, originally participated by 33 contestants, came from Poblacion Tukofol, Ilang-lang, San Miguel, Lamsufo, Isla Grande and Isla Tupas from said municipality.
The 20 households evaluated were led by Ariel Tedera (first place), Carlito Magarso (second place), Corazon Sarigo (third place) and 17 other winners, namely; Anthony Artacho, Ferdinand Tapel, Banban Noton, Henry Melta, Roy Ungkal, Romy Tedera, Mylene Frondozo, Josephine Cabaya, Sonia Lumbing, Rosalyn Ampit, Abe Castillo, Bernardo Tiwan, Danny Klatong, Lenyvie Gaper, Apolinario Bartolome, Norma Arellano and Rovert Rivera.
Earlier, the top 15 of the first judging were awarded their cash incentives during one of the Monday flag-raising ceremony of Lake Sebu LGU.
The revised criteria of the contest used in the second judging are the following: Greening, Gardening and Landscaping – 40%, Cleanliness and Orderliness – 45 % and Improvements 15%.
The evaluators are Genie Famisan of Provincial Environment Management Office, Fruto Sumagaysay Jr. of the Provincial Information Office, Julius Mella of the Arts, Culture, Tourism, Museum and Sports Promotions Unit, Forest Extension officer Noda Marie Macaranas of the Protected Area Superintendent Office and Hayd-Ali Suwaib of the Department of Interior of Local government.
Announcement of winners will be made sometime this September.
