Senior citizen’s social pension payout begins in South Cotabato

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — The Social Pension Payout for qualified senior citizens in South Cotabato has officially begun, marking the continued implementation of the government’s program to support the financial needs of the elderly.

The distribution is being led by the Office of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer (OPSWDO), in coordination with local government units and partner agencies.

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Sonia L. Bautista emphasized the importance of an organized and efficient payout process.

“We are committed to ensuring that the distribution of social pension is conducted in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner so that our senior citizens can receive their benefits without difficulty,” Bautista said.

The initiative aims to ensure that beneficiaries receive financial assistance to cover their daily expenses, while recognizing their valuable contributions to the community.

She added that the provincial government continues to uphold the dignity and welfare of senior citizens through improved service delivery.

“This program reflects our continued dedication to protecting the welfare and dignity of our elderly sector, who have long contributed to the development of our communities,” she said.

The OPSWDO reported that necessary measures have been put in place to facilitate a smooth payout process and to avoid inconvenience for beneficiaries.

Norala — April 25, 2026

Sto. Niño — April 27, 2026

Tupi — April 28, 2026

Tantangan — April 29, 2026

T’boli — April 30 and May 4, 2026

Banga — May 14–15, 2026

Surallah — May 16 and 18, 2026

Tampakan — May 21, 2026

Lake Sebu — May 22–23, 2026

Polomolok — May 25–26, 2026

The provincial government encourages all qualified beneficiaries to follow the assigned schedule and bring the required documents to ensure a faster, more efficient release of benefits.
