Seven RAP members advance to regular employment

SOUTH COTABATO PHILIPPINES | FEBRUARY 14, 2026  – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato celebrates a major milestone as seven (7) members of the Responder Auxiliary Police (RAP) landed a regular employment to key national law enforcement agencies—Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).

RAP is organized by the Office of the Governor through the Barangay Affairs Unit (BAU to strengthen grassroots security and improve the efficiency of local, community-based police officers.

According to the Office of the Provincial Administrator, the seven RAP members earned promotions into national service agencies, marking seven success stories for the program.

Acting Provincial Administrator Atty. Renette B. Bergado personally assisted and facilitated their documentary requirements to ensure a smooth transition.

Faizal M. Matula, RSW, Administrative Aide IV (Clerk II), confirmed that four members are now permanent employees of the PNP, two joined the BFP, and one entered the CIDG.

“This development shows that our efforts are truly working. Seeing them secure permanent positions in uniformed service agencies proves that with the right support, former RAP members can successfully build their lives and contribute positively to society,” Matula said.

The newly promoted personnel are:

Alejandro C. Canillo Jr. – CIDG (Brgy. Puti, Sto. Niño)

John Arth Paul C. Rovero – BFP (Brgy. Sulit, Polomolok)

Christian P. Aloy – BFP (Sitio Salkan, Brgy. Paraiso, Koronadal City)

John Rey L. Cabrera – PNP (On-going Training, Brgy. Little Baguio, Surallah)

Tang D. Dilimbangan – PNP (On-going Training, Brgy. Colungulo, Surallah)

Kurt Kristan P. Barrita – PNP (On-going Training, Brgy. Rizal Poblacion, Banga)

Jenalyn C. Salcedo – PNP (On-going Training, Brgy. Namnama, Koronadal City)

Their advancement highlights the RAP program’s effectiveness in developing competent, committed, and community-driven public servants.

Now serving on the frontlines, 200 RAP members continue to uphold peace, order, and public safety across South Cotabato and Koronadal City.

Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. continues to strengthen the province’s peace and order campaign by empowering RAP members to serve as active partners in maintaining safety at the grassroots level.

Through this initiative, the province builds a strong pool of disciplined and service-oriented individuals ready to take on greater responsibilities.

The provincial government hired RAP members who are unemployed criminology graduates.
