South Cotabato, Philippines – The Provincial Government, through OPSWDO, recently delivered essential services to Sitio Eweng, Brgy. Laconon, T’boli.
The South Cotabato Provincial Hospital, Veterinary Office, Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Agriculture, and partner agencies gathered to deliver health, social, agricultural, and livelihood assistance in one location. The outreach served 132 households with the following services:
- Feeding Program and 90 household raffle items (OPSWDO)
- 71 medical check-ups with free medicines (PSWDO, SCPH, IPHO)
- 40 dental procedures and 20 circumcisions (Tuli) (NDH)
- 1,691 animals dewormed, 3 dogs vaccinated against rabies, 9 dogs treated, 87 farmers assisted (PVET)
- 100 packs of vegetable seeds, 100 marang seedlings, 100 langka seedlings (OPAG)
- 37 civil registry services and 6 late registrations (LCR)
- 30 free haircuts (PSWDO)
The outreach gave many residents a rare opportunity to access basic services.
“From the bottom of our heart nagapasalamat gid kami sa Provincial Government of South Cotabato sa mga services nga ila gihatag sa amon,” said Jobert Digan, a sitio leader. “Hindi na kami mabudlayan kag makagasto sang pamasahe kay sila na nagpalab-ot sang ila serbisyo sa amon.”
The Provincial Government delivers the outreach as part of its broader mission to provide “Tama at Maayos na Serbisyo”—free, inclusive, and compassionate programs that prioritize the welfare of every South Cotabateño.
The Provincial Government continues its effort to reach every barangay across the province through the Sitio Eweng outreach, ensuring that even geographically isolated communities benefit from quality public service.
The PSWDO leads the Outreach Program, mobilizing resources from other provincial departments to bring basic services directly to communities.
