SOPA 2021 … Gov Tamayo hails Team Sundo of Balik Probinsiya Program

CITY OF KORONADAL — Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. hailed the Team Sundo of the Balik Probinsiya South Cotabato Program during the State of the Province Address (SOPA) on February 8 (Monday) at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center (SCGCC) here for their extraordinary effort initiated to assist Returning Overseas Filipinos (ROFs) and Locally Stranded Individuals (LSIs) from Metro Manila and other parts of the country during the global CoViD-19 pandemic that caused nation-wide lockdown last year.

                     Speaking in Pilipino (the country’s national language), Governor Tamayo thanked the Team by saying,“Maraming salamt sa inyong buwis buhay na pag-serbisyo.”

                     Team Sundo is composed of the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Development and Promotions Unit.

                     IPHO performed triaging of arriving passengers; ACTM transported them to this city and will be fetched by their respective LGU for their 14-day manadatory quarantine; and, PDRRMO will conduct disinfection initiatives.

                     More than 12,000 ROFs and LSIs were fetched by the team at the airports of General Santos City, Davao City, Cotabato City and Cagayan de Oro City (including their seaport) at the cost of more than P9,000,000 taken from the province’s coffer.
