South Cotabato affirms free services as basic rights

KORONADAL CITY — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato reaffirmed that education, healthcare, and social services are basic rights, not privileges.

Under Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo Jr., the province continues to implement programs that ensure equal access to services regardless of political affiliation or economic status.

The governor said free education and hospitalization are government obligations to the people.

“Services should not depend on political color or status in life. These are rights of every South Cotabateño,” he said.

The free education program has reduced financial burden on families, while free hospitalization has improved access to healthcare, especially for vulnerable sectors.

The province also implements livelihood, infrastructure, and community-based programs to support long-term development.

Officials said removing political bias in service delivery ensures equal support for all residents.
