CITY OF KORONADAL — A Fashion Exhibit dubbed “Bugal Lokal” Ikalawang Yugto – ‘Nsif Ebolusyon will be the highlight of the month-long Arts Festival 2022 that will open on February 5 (((3pm) at KCC Mall of Marbel here spearheaded by the Arts, Culture, Tourism and Museum (ACTM) Unit.
Jared Servano, internationally-awarded fashion guru and fACTM consultant disclosed that the Blaan ‘Nief embroidery will be the centerpiece of the exhibit.
“The general public will see the evolution of the Blaan Ensif from the traditional to modern,” Servano stressed.
Aside from fashion exhibit, the arts festival will likewise involved the Visual, Music and Theater Arts Sectors with their own activities to conduct.
For Visual Arts, a 3-Man Exhibit from February 5 – 28 of South Cotabato Artists Neil Jay Castante, Haron Castromayor and Henry Santander will feature Ink and Pen, Terra Cotta Sculpture and Painting creations.
The Music Sector, on the other hand, wll conduct Webinar Series on February 11, 18 and 25 about Music Theory, Traditional Music in the Digital World (Song-Writiing) and A Day of Music with Saro Banares.
Theater Arts Sector will also conduct a Training/Workshop from February 16 – 18 on Acting, Stage Management and Playwriting with Hands-on the last day of the training with attendees coming from DepED’s Special Program for the Arts.
The Dance Sector, however, will conduct a Dance All-Style Competition as part of the Arts Festival but will be scheduled on a later date.
The Ar Festival culmination day on February 28 will highlight the Tubas Taliambong Awards – Recognition of Artists and Closing Program.
