KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO PHILIPPINES | SEPTEMBER 26, 2025 — South Cotabato shone at the 2025 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony on September 26 at Narra Hall, Cinco Niñas, taking home several major awards that recognize the province’s commitment to health and nutrition.
One of the highlights of the event was Liza C. Enamno, who was named Outstanding District Nutrition Program Coordinator.
In her speech, Enamno shared that her passion has fueled 15 years of service.
“If you don’t have a heart for this work, you won’t last long,” she said, reflecting on her years of serving children and communities.
(Kung wala ka sang heart para diri nga trabaho, indi ka magdugay).
She dedicated her award to fellow nutrition workers, the Provincial Nutrition Office (OPSWDO), Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Rudy S. Jimenea, and Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.
NNC also awarded the Regional Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar 1st Runner-Up and Provincial Outstanding BNS to Christine S. Apolonio of Brgy. Sulit, Polomolok for her tireless service on the ground.
Other LGUs of the province also gained recognition. Surallah earned its 3rd Year Green Banner Seal of Compliance, while Tupi, Sto. Niño, Tantangan, and Tboli received their 2nd Green Banner award.
Special awards also poured in for South Cotabato such as RAISE for innovative service delivery, STAR for reducing stunting (awarded to Tupi, Surallah, and Sto. Niño).
Tupi topped OPT coverage, and Angela B. Frugalidad, Community Affairs Officer-IV,brought home the Best News Article award.
The province was declared a 1st Crown Maintenance Contender—a testament to its sustained excellence.
