South Cotabato boosts education infrastructure with DepEd partnership

South Cotabato – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., partners with the Department of Education (DepEd) for the construction of classroom buildings in the province during the MOA Signing ceremony held at the Heroes Hall, Malacañang Palace, recently.

Attended by various Provinces nationwide, the MOA signing ceremony kickstarted the collaborative efforts between the Provincial Local Government Units and the Department of Education for the facilitation of the construction of classroom buildings nationwide.

According to South Cotabato Governor and League of Provinces President – Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. this MOA signing signifies the commitment of the current administration in pushing for development especially in the Education Sector.

This is the start where the national government and the local government will continue to work together – to push for a more efficient and people-centered governance.” – Governor Tamayo said.

Furthermore, Governor Tamayo stressed the importance of initiatives such as classroom-building in pushing for development in the education sector

This partnership will make significant progress especially in addressing the classroom shortages across the country. Through this, we can fast track the construction of classroom buildings to be used by our students across the country especially in our respective provinces.” – Governor Tamayo added.

This initiative further strengthens the ongoing efforts of the provincial government in the education sector as one of the flagship programs of Governor Tamayo’s administration.

During Governor Tamayo’s administration, it has been the province’s commitment to reducing the classroom shortages in the province.

In recent years, the province officially constructed over 80 classroom buildings with its efforts in highlighting the free education program in South Cotabato.
