South Cotabato – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., continues to bring easier access to potable water to barangays in the province after the completion of the PHP3.2M potable water system in Sitio Abdul, Barangay Palian, Tupi, South Cotabato
Spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Engineer, the monitoring committee completed the final inspection of the potable water system project in Barangay Palian in Tupi amounting to PHP3,293,627.00 which aims to benefit over 100 households in the vicinity of Sitio Abdul in the said barangay.
Residents who will benefit from the project expressed their excitement and gratitude towards the effect of the project to the community.
“We are very happy that we are one of the recipients of the potable water system project. Since a lot of families here in our Sitio cannot afford their own independent water system – this water system is a big help to us especially it is now our major water source.” – a resident, who refused to be named, shared in an interview.
Furthermore, Governor Tamayo reassured his continuous support in providing the needs of the community through townhall meetings and dialogues with community leaders
“We continue to deliver the needs of communities based on their suggestions. Constructing water system projects in only one of many developmental projects and infrastructures we implement.” – Governor Tamayo said.
In addition, Governor Tamayo targets to put up water system projects in all far-flung barangay before his term ends in 2028.abaca industry and promoting inclusive agricultural growth in South Cotabato.
