Tantangan, South Cotabato — The CATCH-UP (Convergence Approach for Transformation and Change–Unification Program), has brought development initiatives to Sitio Barak, Barangay Poblacion, Tantangan.
As part of the convergence operation, the team conducted a courtesy call and site inspection for the proposed construction of a multi-purpose building that will serve as a central hub for the community.
To further assess the area, Engineer Abdullah Bonamin Samaluden joined the inspection to evaluate technical requirements for the project.
According to Project Development Officer Cris Pingkunn Fuentes, Sitio Barak has been identified as one of the province’s convergence priority communities.
The team also noted that the existing Madrasah School operates only in a makeshift room, underscoring the need for better facilities.
“The planned structure is designed to function as a venue for community meetings, social activities, and educational programs, particularly as a weekend classroom for Muslim pupils,” Fuentes said.
He said this initiative forms part of the provincial government’s continuing effort to strengthen support for Madrasah centers and enhance access to education.
This undertaking highlights South Cotabato’s steadfast commitment to equitable growth and sustainable progress, ensuring that no community is left behind.
