South Cotabato continues to extend aid to typhoon-hit communities in Cebu

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato | December 3, 2025 — South Cotabato once again demonstrated its strong spirit of bayanihan as the Provincial Government continued to extend aid to communities affected by the recent typhoon in Cebu.

On Monday, a response team led by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO)  transported and turned over relief assistance to affected families in Talisay City, Cebu.

This mission forms part of South Cotabato’s ongoing efforts to support Cebuano communities recovering from the impact of the storm.

Rolly Doane Aquino, PDRRMO Chief, emphasized the provincial government’s sustained commitment to disaster response beyond its borders.

“This is not just a one-time effort. We will continue to extend assistance to Cebu for as long as there are people in need,” Aquino said.

(Hindi lang ito one-time effort. Patuloy po tayong mag-aabot ng tulong sa Cebu hangga’t may nangangailangan).

He also highlighted the province’s readiness to mobilize whenever emergencies arise.

“Wherever we are called, as long as someone is in need, we are ready to respond. The heart of every South Cotabateño is always open to bayanihan,” he noted.

(Kahit saan kami tawagin, basta may nangangailangan, handa kaming tumugon. Ang puso ng bawat South Cotabateño ay laging bukas para sa bayanihan).

Aquino expressed appreciation to volunteers, partner offices, and donors who supported the mission.

“Thank you to everyone who took part. The success of this mission is proof that we are stronger when we work together,” he said.

(Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakilahok. Ang tagumpay ng misyong ito ay patunay na mas malakas tayo kapag nagtutulungan).

The Provincial Government assured that it will continue coordinating with affected communities and is prepared to deliver additional assistance in the coming days.
