South Cotabato expands livelihood support through RST Program

KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO — Livelihood support continues to expand in South Cotabato as the provincial government strengthens its Reinforced Services Taskforce (RST) Program, delivering sustained support to community-based organizations.

Based on reports, the RST Program, which started in August 2021, has already registered 17 organizations under its livelihood component, with 15 projects successfully implemented.

These initiatives have benefited various sectors such as farmers, fisherfolk, and small business owners across different municipalities in the province.

The projects range from agricultural production and food processing to equipment support and small enterprise development.

For 2025, each accredited organization will receive a financial allocation of ₱100,000. The funding is expected to boost operations, generate additional income, and open opportunities for growth among beneficiaries.

Barangay Affairs Chief Dennis Dignadice emphasized the significance of sustained government support in empowering grassroots initiatives and ensuring long-term program success.

“Makikita natin na epektibo ang ating programa dahil matagumpay na naipatupad ang mga proyekto. Napapaunlad nila ang kanilang kabuhayan dahil walang sawang sumusuporta ang probinsiya, lalo na si Gov. Tamayo,” Dignadice said.

He further noted the importance of proper monitoring and coordination to ensure that funds are utilized efficiently.

According to him, the high number of successfully implemented projects reflects both the commitment of beneficiaries and the effectiveness of the program.

With continued support from the Provincial Government of South Cotabato under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., the RST Program is seen as a driving force in achieving inclusive economic growth and long-term sustainability in the province.
