South Cotabato Gears Up for Inaugural iJuanaRun Fun-Run in Celebration of National Women’s Month

The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, led by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., is set to celebrate the 2024 National Women’s Month with a series of empowering events. Spearheaded by the Provincial Population Office, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s Committee on Women and Children, chaired by Hon. Junette I. Hurtado, the highlight of the celebration will be the inaugural iJuanaRun Fun-Run, themed “A Run for Women’s Mental Health Awareness.”

In collaboration with SOX RUNNERS, the iJuanaRun Fun-Run is scheduled for March 23, 2024, starting at 4:00 AM, and will feature two race categories: 5K and 10K distances. The race routes will showcase the scenic landscapes of South Cotabato, taking participants from the South Cotabato Sports Complex to various key landmarks in Brgy. Paraiso.

The event schedule is as follows:

– **04:00 AM:** Assembly Time
– **04:15 AM-04:45 AM:** ZUMBA WARMUP by ZIN Mikay
– **05:00 AM:** GUNSTART for 10K
– **05:30 AM:** GUNSTART for 5K

Special awards will be presented to outstanding runners, including the Oldest Runners (Male and Female for both 5K and 10K) and Best Dressed (Male and Female overall).
