South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., is set to deliver his State of the Province Address (SOPA) next week, February 8, at 9 am at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.
The SOPA which was originally slated last December 16, 2020, at the SP Session Hall was postponed in adherence to the quarantine protocols of the Governor after his youngest son was tested positive of covid-19.
This time, the report to the people will push through as preparations are underway.
His SOPA will be conducted during the Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of South Cotabato with the presence of the provincial officials, department heads, provincial employees, and other guests.
The speech will last for about 30 minutes to one hour and it will highlight the accomplishments of the province under the administration of Governor Tamayo in the aspects of economic, health, financial, and social conditions.
The SOPA will include reports on the flagship programs such as free education and hospitalization on government hospitals, social services including covid-related initiatives, infrastructures, agriculture, among others. To limit the attendance of people, it will be covered via live streaming at the official Facebook page of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, It will also be covered live by various radio stations in the province. Unlike the previous staging of the SOPA, Governor Tamayo wants it done in a simple way.
