South Cotabato, Philippines | December 06, 2025 – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato gathered more than 1,500 Provincial School Board (PSB) personnel from over 500 schools during the Year-End Program and Christmas Celebration held on December 13, 2025, at the Capitol Compound Covered Court.
The event recognized the relentless service of teachers, learning support aides, school clerks, utility workers, and security staff who dedicate their days to serving the province’s learners.
During the celebration, Provincial Administrator Atty. Renette B. Bergado delivered uplifting news that drew cheers from the crowd.
“I can confirm that starting in 2026, all PSB employees will receive a ₱500 salary increase, a move endorsed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr.,” she confirmed.

Atty. Bergado said this salary adjustment reflects the Governor’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of all school-based workers who help sustain the province’s education system.
She also shared hopeful developments regarding the ₱7,000 gratuity pay, noting that the province is optimistic that the President will once again authorize its release—just as he did through last year’s executive order.
“This financial assistance would greatly help PSB workers as they close another year of service,” Bergado said.
The activity also served as the official contract signing of PSB personnel for 2026.
“The provincial government fully funds this program as part of Governor Tamayo’s ongoing advocacy to strengthen free and accessible education in South Cotabato,” Atty. Bergado emphasized.

She stressed that because of these efforts, many parents have been relieved of additional school expenses, especially PTA contributions.
“It became a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who work quietly yet tirelessly across South Cotabato’s schools,” the provincial administrator added.
With renewed support and well-deserved recognition, PSB personnel ended the year with pride, gratitude, and a stronger sense of purpose.
