South Cotabato is ready to produce more medical doctors—Gov. Tamayo

Koronadal City—The Provincial Government of South Cotabato is ready to produce more doctors and bridge the decreasing number of medical practitioners in the country, as Sen. Francis Tolentino asked Gov. Reynaldo Tamayo, Jr during the latter’s visit to the 24th Tnalak Festival.

“Please include in your efforts na magkaroon ng maraming doktor. Let us establish medical schools to produce doctors that will ensure the health of our constituents,” Tolentino said.
According to Tolentino, 40 percent of the medical doctors in the country are retiring. The Philippines needs at least 114,000 doctors.

“Tulungan natin ang ating mahal na gobernador na makabuo ng tamang tela ng kaalaman,” Tolentino announced.  He added, “What we are witnessing is only the anniversary celebration but the vision of unity in the province. You have a common thread of aspirations. Ito ang sinulid ng pagkakaisa.” the senator explained.

The pattern, he said, is inspired on the distinct weaving traditions of making vibrant progress and  masterpiece of resilience.
