South Cotabato, Philippines | November 26, 2025 – Families across South Cotabato gain renewed hope as the Office of the Provincial Governor – Barangay Affairs Unit (OPG-BAU), in partnership with DOLE-12 and the Provincial Employment Services Unit (PESU), launches another wave of assistance under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

Residents from Koronadal, Banga, Surallah, and Sto. Niño begin their 10-day work cycle on November 24, 2025, immediately receiving both income and community support.
Executive Assistant IV Dennis C. Dignadice emphasized that this round of TUPAD does more than provide temporary employment—it actively uplifts displaced and disadvantaged workers.
“There activities include cleaning of canals and roadsides,Dignadice stated.
Beneficiaries earn ₱450 daily, giving them ₱4,500 at the end of the program, a timely boost for families preparing for year-end expenses.
Workers take on canal cleaning and drainage maintenance, helping clear pathways and reduce flooding risks.
Many beneficiaries express pride as they actively contribute to improving their own barangays, proving that small, coordinated actions create visible community impact.
“RST members work on the ground to identify beneficiaries who have not previously availed of TUPAD, ensuring that assistance reaches those who need it most,” Dignadice said.
Community organizers conduct orientations, actively guiding workers through their roles, safety measures, and responsibilities to ensure confidence and readiness on the job.
DOLE-12 prepares to monitor project sites on December 2–3, 2025 to confirm proper implementation and worker welfare.
With funding exceeding ₱4.5 million for South Cotabato, the program continues to strengthen the province’s commitment to inclusive employment.
Through these efforts, the OPG-BAU and its partner agencies continue to drive active community participation and provide meaningful support for displaced workers across the province.
