City of Koronadal, South Cotabato – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato through its Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator – Special Projects Division, launched the 3rd Action Plan of the Provincial Government under the Open Government Partnership (OGP) last May 21, 2026, at the PDC Hall, Capitol Compound, City of Koronadal, South Cotabato.
Attended by the members of various Civil Society Organizations and South Cotabato Integrity Circle, headed by Arch. Carlito Uy, the launching of the third action plan serves as the growing commitment of the province towards an open government.
The third action plan is composed of five commitments namely: Access to Information, Anti-Corruption, Climate and Environment, Digital Governance, and Public Participation. These thematic areas focus on bringing a much more open government to the public.
According to Marites S. Tanseco, EnP, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, the action plan servers as the backbone of a transparent provincial government, citing positive delivery of government service to the people.
“These five commitments will help our province achieve a government that delivers efficient and commendable service by being transparent, accountable, and responsive to the people,” Tanseco said in her message.
Furthermore, Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. further highlights the province’s commitment in becoming an open government for the people and by the people.
“We continue to serve our constituents by delivering an honest and transparent type of government through our commitments in the Open Government Partnership,” Governor Tamayo said.
The Province of South Cotabato was one of the Pioneering members of the Open Government Partnership last 2018, with the first action plan during 2018-2020, and the second action plan last 2022-2025.
The Third action plan is set to be implemented from June 2026 to April 2028, strengthening the province’s strides towards a more transparent and open government for the people of South Cotabato.
