South Cotabato, Philippines — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato reaffirmed its commitment to quality public education as it conducted the Assistance to Public Education Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Orientation and Signing on February 3–4, 2026, at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
The activity gathered school heads and Administrative Officers (AOs) from different public schools across the province to ensure proper implementation of the program and to orient them on fund utilization, documentation, and liquidation requirements.
According to Atty. Rhonalyn C. Gallego, CAO and OIC–KPSGIAP Executive Director, the orientation plays a vital role in helping schools properly manage the assistance provided by the provincial government.
“As school heads, they know the priority and urgent needs of their respective schools. Through this program, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato is able to respond to those needs and provide timely assistance,” she said.
She emphasized that the activity aims to clearly explain the requirements for fund liquidation and the guidelines on how the program’s funds should be used to benefit the schools and their learners.
Atty. Gallego also highlighted the important role of school heads and administrative officers in the success of the program, noting that they serve as key partners of the provincial government in its implementation.
Through the Assistance to Public Education program, the provincial government continues to extend support to public schools by helping address immediate and essential needs, improve learning environments, and ensuring that resources reach students who need them most.
The MOU signing formalized the partnership between the provincial government and participating schools, reinforcing a shared commitment to transparent, efficient, and people-centered delivery of education services across South Cotabato.
