KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato| December 23, 2025 — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has officially received the final Primary Care Provider Network (PCPN) payment from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) amounting to ₱80,597,543.96, marking the full settlement of PhilHealth’s obligations under the PCPN Sandbox Site Implementation.
The check was received by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Conrado Braña, who also serves as Vice Chair of the Provincial Health Board, on behalf of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr.
According to Dr. Braña, the release of the final payment is a significant boost to the province’s primary health care system and affirms the strong partnership between PhilHealth and the Provincial Government.
“This payment represents the full and final settlement of PhilHealth’s commitment under the PCPN Sandbox Site Implementation. These funds will further strengthen South Cotabato’s primary care services and support our health facilities and providers,” Dr. Braña said.
Meanwhile, Hanna Naanep, Public Information Officer of PhilHealth, confirmed that the release completes PhilHealth Regional Office XII’s financial obligations to South Cotabato under the PCPN initiative.
“The release of this payment reflects PhilHealth’s continued commitment to strengthening primary care services and ensuring sustained financial support to our health care partners for the benefit of our members,” Naanep said.
The PhilHealth SOCCSKSARGEN official Facebook page also announced the successful release of the payment, underscoring the agency’s role in advancing the goals of the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law through the Primary Care Provider Network model.
The PCPN is designed to provide accessible, coordinated, and quality primary health care services by linking local government health facilities and providers into an integrated network. The funding supports preventive, promotive, and basic curative services delivered at the community level.
Provincial officials welcomed the completion of the payment, noting that the funds will help sustain health programs, improve service delivery, and ensure that South Cotabato residents continue to benefit from accessible and quality primary health care services.
