KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has secured funding for the construction of a three-storey, 12-classroom school building worth ₱55 million at Tupi Central School in Barangay Poblacion, Tupi, under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation
In a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held on March 25, 2026, at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City, the project is expected to enhance educational infrastructure.
The signing ceremony was attended by Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” M. Angara with representatives from PAGCOR and partner agencies.
The initiative was pushed through the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. while Alejandro H. Tengco facilitated the approval.
Governor Tamayo underscored the importance of investing in education infrastructure.
“This project reflects our strong commitment to providing quality learning environments for our students. Through partnerships like this, we are able to bring meaningful development directly to our communities and ensure a better future for the next generation.”
During the MOA signing, Provincial Engineer Lloyd M. Esparagosa, CE, GE, MPA, who represented Gov. Tamayo, emphasized the implementation of infrastructure projects that directly benefit students and local communities.
PAGCOR officials, led by Vice President for Corporate Social Responsibility Group Naealla Rose M. Bainto Aguinaldo and Senior Special Projects Officer Aristeo D. Bayan, reaffirmed their support for initiatives that promote inclusive development through improved public facilities.
The partnership among PAGCOR, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, and the Department of Education is a shared commitment to strengthening the education sector by providing safe, modern, and conducive learning environments for students in the province.
