SOUTH COTABATO — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has officially launched the search for the next Mutya ng South Cotabato 2026, marking a key milestone in the lead-up to the province’s 60th Foundation Anniversary and the highly anticipated T’nalak Festival this July.
As one of the most anticipated annual highlights of the festival, Mutya ng South Cotabato continues to serve as a flagship platform that celebrates not only beauty but also leadership, public service, and cultural identity. The upcoming screening signals the early momentum of festival preparations, drawing participation from across the province’s municipalities.
This year’s search follows the impactful reign of incumbent queen Mary S. Ganaba of Tupi, whose advocacy-centered leadership has redefined the role of a titleholder. During her coronation in 2025, Ganaba emphasized the crown as a platform for service and governance.
“I am a woman of many roles. Sometimes, I am a volunteer; sometimes, at home, I am an ‘Ate,’ but the biggest role that I take to heart is being a leader. I hope South Cotabato and the whole world can see a queen servant,” she said.
Her “queen servant” philosophy now sets the tone for this year’s search, as the Provincial Government looks for a successor who can actively partner in advancing programs on inclusive growth, community engagement, and ethical leadership.
The official screening will be held on April 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Peak Hall of Love, 5th Level, Gensan Wing, Mall of Ace, City of Koronadal. The event is expected to gather aspiring candidates representing various local government units and sectors, reinforcing the pageant’s role as a cornerstone of the province’s cultural and tourism development.
In line with its evolving standards, the search continues to emphasize substance and purpose—where candidates are assessed not only on poise and grace but also on intelligence, character, and understanding of local governance. The screening committee has also opened opportunities for previous runners-up to compete again, encouraging sustained leadership growth among participants.
Qualified South Cotabateñas are encouraged to complete their applications through the official online registration portal. Only registered applicants will be accommodated during the screening.
