South Cotabato, Philippines — The provincial government of South Cotabato is taking significant strides toward digital transformation, with plans to modernize government processes and services through technology-driven initiatives. Vice Governor Arthur Y. Pinggoy recently outlined these efforts, emphasizing the province’s commitment to efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in public service.
Following his participation in a conference on Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization in Taiwan, Vice Governor Pinggoy shared that South Cotabato’s digitalization efforts will begin with the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and eventually extend to other provincial government offices to comply with ISO standards.
“We recognize the importance of digitalization in governance. By modernizing our processes, we aim to make government transactions more efficient, transparent, and accessible to our constituents,” said Vice Governor Pinggoy. “Our initial focus will be on the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, but this will eventually extend to the rest of the provincial government.”
Aside from improving governance processes, the provincial government is also exploring the integration of digital solutions for local government units (LGUs) to enhance service delivery and connectivity across the province.
While acknowledging that digitalization initiatives require time and investment, Vice Governor Pinggoy assured that this effort is critical step toward a more advanced and responsive South Cotabato.
“This development will not happen overnight, but rest assured, they are steps toward a more progressive and technologically advanced South Cotabato,” he stated.
With the growing demand for digital transformation, South Cotabato’s commitment to modernizing its governance and public services positions the province as a leader in technology-driven development in the region.
