South Cotabato to hold Job Fair on July 27

KORONADAL CITY, South Cotabato – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through the Provincial Employment Services Unit (PESU) will hold the T’nalak Job Fair on July 27, 2026, at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, offering employment opportunities to job seekers as part of the celebration of the province’s 27th T’nalak Festival and 60th Founding Anniversary.

Flora G. Montoya, PESU Officer and Job Fair Committee explained the event was originally scheduled on July 15 but was postponed after the recent earthquake affected the availability of its original venue, the Mall of Ace Centerpoint, which is set to undergo renovation.

“Actually, July 15 ang schedule kaso lang kay tungod sa unforeseen event naton which is the earthquake, ang aton original nga venue which is the Mall of Ace hindi na siya possible kay mag-under renovation sila. That’s why nag-postponed kita sang aton activity,” Montoya said.

She added that organizers expect at least 50 participating employers, including around 15 overseas recruitment agencies and 35 or more local companies, although the final number may increase as confirmations continue to come in.

Job seekers are advised to bring photocopies of their resume, transcript of records or certificate of graduation, training certificates, Civil Service eligibility documents, National Certificate (NC II), and other relevant credentials.

Also, applicants are encouraged to come in business or smart casual attire and be prepared for on-the-spot interviews with hiring officers and human resource representatives.

Montoya also prompted job seekers across the province, including fresh graduates, career shifters, and individuals seeking better employment opportunities, to take advantage of the one-day recruitment event.

“Ginaawhag ko ang tanan nga mga jobseekers nga magparticipate and kung sin-o tong mga gapangita sang trabaho, ang mag-change career, mag-change sang mga employers. Magkiririta kita sa aton job fair, sa July 27 nga pagahiwaton sa South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.,” Montoya urged.

The list of available job vacancies is still being finalized and will be posted on the official Facebook pages of PESU and the Provincial Government of South Cotabato once participating employers submit their hiring requirements.

Meanwhile, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) will also participate through its Regional Reintegration Network Serbisyo Caravan, allowing job seekers to access various government services alongside employment opportunities. The activity is also expected to benefit returning overseas Filipino workers, including those affected by recent international conflicts.

The T’nalak Job Fair aims to serve as a one-stop employment and government services hub, connecting job seekers directly with prospective employers while expanding access to career opportunities and public assistance.
