South Cotabato, Philippines – The Provincial Government of South Cotabato has officially revealed the highlighted activities for the much-anticipated 26th T’nalak Festival and 59th Foundation Anniversary, to be held from July 11–18, 2025.
With the theme, “Empowering Generations with Integrity and Vibrancy: Building a Future that Fuels Economic Growth for Posterity,” this year’s celebration promises an exciting mix of cultural richness, community spirit, and economic showcase.
T’nalak Festival Director and Provincial Information Officer Rudy S. Jimenea emphasized that only officially posted and approved activities by the provincial government are recognized as part of the festival line-up.
Among the key highlights of the celebration are the following:
- Civic-Military Parade and Float Competition (July 11) – A grand spectacle along Gensan Drive featuring themed floats and marching contingents.
- T’nalak Broadway Beats and Thematic Dance Competition – A creative fusion of tradition and contemporary performance at the South Cotabato Sports Complex.
- Mutya ng South Cotabato Grand Coronation Night (July 12) – The province’s most prestigious beauty and cultural pageant at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center.
- Rakrákan sa T’nalak – A nightly open-air music and food festival featuring local bands, battle of the bands, and celebrity guests.
- Motocross and Zumba Marathon – High-energy sports and fitness events happening on July 12–13 in Tantangan and at the Sports Complex.
- Panubli: An Exhibit of South Cotabato Weaves – A showcase of the province’s weaving tradition along Alunan Avenue.
- T’nalak Street Dancing Parade and Showdown (July 18) – A colorful cultural showdown among contingents from various municipalities and cities.
- Dangal ng South Cotabato Excellence Awards – A tribute to outstanding individuals and organizations contributing to the province’s growth.
- Farmers Festival and T’Narock Congressional Night – Events honoring the province’s agricultural roots and youth-driven musical expression.
The week-long festival also includes community-themed nights such as the City of Koronadal Night, LGBTQIA+ Freedom Night, and the Interfaith Thanksgiving Celebration, promoting inclusivity and unity.
Jimenea reminds the public to follow only the official pages and announcements from the Provincial Government for verified event details. “Events not posted on our official platforms are not considered part of the T’nalak Festival,” he stressed.
