September 10, 2025 | Koronadal City, Philippines – Provincial Government of South Cotabato’s innovative use of digital tools to improve public service and strengthen communication was showcased during a recent benchmarking visit by delegates from the Municipal Government of M’lang, Cotabato. The delegation lauded South Cotabato’s online platforms as a model for transparent and responsive governance.
Delegates from M’lang visited the Provincial Capitol to learn how South Cotabato leverages its official website and Facebook page to promote transparency, encourage citizen engagement, and deliver timely government programs and updates. The activity highlighted the vital role of digital media in advancing accessible and people-centered governance.
“We are grateful for the leadership of Governor Tamayo. Since he is an IT graduate, we can see how well the Provincial Government of South Cotabato has organized its information section,” said Alexander Angeles, LGU M’lang employee.
The delegation also commended South Cotabato’s strong commitment to innovation and good governance, emphasizing its delivery of clean, fast, and responsive public services. These initiatives, they said, reflect the progressive leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr., whose administration continues to inspire other local government units.
The benchmarking activity strengthened collaboration, knowledge-sharing and intensified exchange of best practices in governance, digital communication, and public service delivery between local government units.
