KORONADAL, SOUTH COTABATO- The Provincial Government of South Cotabato through Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. extends help to the affected areas of Padada and Matanao, Davao del sur due to the recent 6.9 magnitude quake last December 15.
The team of PDRRMO headed by OIC-PDRRMO Rolly Doane C. Aquino immediately conducted assessment to the said area.
Based on the said assessment, the two towns needed emergency shelters (trapal and tents), water, foods (rice, canned goods, noodles), and other non-food commodities.
Immediately, the people of South Cotabato through PDRRMO delivered 140 meters of trapal for their emergency shelters.
By the end of the month, the PDRRMO plans to deliver another set of relief assistance to the area.
Aquino appeals to the constituents of South Cotabatoto extend help to the quake victims and that the office is always welcome to receive their donations.
“Ginahingyo naton ang tanan nga South Cotabateños nga kung pwede magpalab-ot ta sang bulig sa ila, gamay man ukon dako I appreciate tagid na.Ang kinahanglan lang nila amo ang trapal, tubig, pagkaon (canned goods, noodles) bugas, kag kun ano pa nga halin sa inyo tagipusoon” Aquino said.
He also assures the public that whatever donations they give, will go directly to the affected families.
