South Cotabato, Philippines — As part of the continuing implementation of the Deradicalization and Reintegration Program, the 12th Batch of Friends Rescued (FRs) participated in a Spiritual Upliftment Lecture held at the Kapayapaang Angat Center in Barangay Tinungcop, Tantangan, South Cotabato.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Sonia Bautista, RSW, emphasized the importance of holistic interventions in the reintegration process.
“Spiritual and emotional support are essential in helping our Friends Rescued rebuild their lives and become productive members of society,” Bautista said.
The activity was facilitated by Pastor Samuel Timogtimog and aimed to strengthen the spiritual well-being of the participants, promote positive values, and provide guidance that supports their personal transformation and successful reintegration into their families and communities.
Through meaningful discussions, reflections, and faith-based teachings, the participants were encouraged to embrace hope, strengthen their moral foundations, and develop a renewed sense of purpose as they continue their journey toward becoming productive and responsible members of society.
Bautista added that activities like the Spiritual Upliftment Lecture help strengthen values, inspire positive change, and promote lasting peace within communities.
The Spiritual Upliftment Lecture forms part of the series of interventions being conducted under the Deradicalization and Reintegration Program at the Kapayapaang Angat Center. These initiatives are designed to equip Friends Rescued with the knowledge, values, and life skills necessary to facilitate their successful reintegration and contribute positively to society.
