South Cotabato – South Cotabato Provincial Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr. ordered to fast track the government housing relocation project for constituent-beneficiaries in the province of South Cotabato.
According to Jennifer Ilao, Project the team has began looking for potential sites for the housing project, citing a collaborative effort between various offices in the Provincial Government.
“We have already visited some target areas, we are very much thankful with the effort of other offices in the Provincial Government, rest assured we are fast tracking this project as mandated by our Governor,” Ilao said in an interview.
The Provincial Land Banking committee spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator is the lead department for this project.
Furthermore, Ilao added that this project is aligned with the Governor’s commitment in providing safe and secure households for every family in South Cotabato.
With a target of 100 units per municipality, the South Cotabato housing project is budgeted at around PHP44 Million pesos with over PHP4 Million pesos allotted per local government unit.
Governor reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment in delivering the ‘tama at maayos na serbisyo’ brand of public service in all sectors in the society ensuring that no one is left behind.
The Provincial Land banking committee is set to continue the preparatory requisites in the development of the project.
Site development of the said project may begin by the third quarter of 2026
