Tamayo administration prioritizes access to clean water with completion of ₱3.9-m water system in Norala

NORALA, South Cotabato — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., has reinforced its commitment to providing accessible and safe water to communities with the successful completion of a ₱3.9-million water system project in Sitio Tantong, Barangay Tinago, Norala, South Cotabato, recently.

Governor Tamayo emphasized that access to clean water is a fundamental right and a vital component of public health and community development.

“This project reflects our administration’s strong commitment to improving the quality of life of our people. We will continue to invest in programs that bring basic services closer to our communities, especially in far-flung barangays,” the governor said.

The newly constructed facility, amounting to PHP 3,992,228.34, is expected to benefit hundreds of households in the far-flung barangay, significantly improving daily access to clean and potable water.

The project forms part of the Tamayo administration’s broader infrastructure and basic services agenda, which places priority on addressing long-standing water supply challenges in rural and underserved areas.

With the completion of the water system, residents of Sitio Tantong in Barangay Tinago can now enjoy a more reliable and sustainable water source, reducing dependence on unsafe water alternatives and minimizing health risks associated with waterborne diseases.

The Provincial Government, headed by Governor Tamayo, continues to reinforce its commitment to establishing potable water system projects and other infrastructure projects across far-flung barangays in the province with the aim of delivering the “Tama at maayos na serbisyo” brand of public service to all sectors in society.
