The first activity of the 15th T’nalak Festival and 48th Foundation Anniversary of South Cotabato opened with the Techno-Agri Symposium held at the PROTECH Center on July 9 (10am) and sponsored by the Provincial Agriculture Office (PAO), though the formal opening will start with Inter-Faith Thanksgiving Service today at 4:30 pm at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center.
Board Member Vicente de Jesus, T’nalak Festival Executive Director, formally opened the symposium together with Department of Agriculture –Assuatnr Regional Director Zaldy Boloron and OIC – PAO Francisco Domingo.
Participants that joined the symposium conclude representatives from city/municipal agriculture offices, farmers and other stakeholders.
After the simple opening ceremony, the symposium resumed in the afternoon with different speakers talked on the latest update about high value crops particularly on cacao, cassava, coffee and rubber, among others.
The Techno-Agri symposium, which will also discussed the latest programs, projects and activities of the agriculture department and modern agricultural trends, will run until July 11.
Other activities of PAO during the T’nalak include an Agri-Fair, “Bahay Kubo” and “Awit, Dula at Sayaw” (ADUSAY) competitions.
“Bahay Kubo” first judging will b be held today July 10 (9am) in front of the provincial capitol.
