South Cotabato, Philippines — The Provincial Government of South Cotabato, under the leadership of Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo Jr., continues to expand programs that create employment opportunities for its constituents through the successful T’nalak Job Fair 2026, held recently at the South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Center, which attracted 1,236 job seekers.
Public Employment Service Unit Manager Flora Montoya said the job fair provided access to a wide range of employment opportunities from 46 local companies and 6 overseas employers.
“Of the applicants who participated, 101 were hired on the spot, highlighting the effectiveness of the job fair in connecting job seekers with potential employers,” Montoya said.
The activity was organized by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). Various government agencies also participated to provide employment-related services, information, and assistance to attendees.
Provincial Board Member Annabelle Pingoy encouraged applicants to remain hopeful despite challenges in finding employment.
“Believe in yourself. If you are not accepted in the job you applied for, do not lose hope. There is a right job and a right time for you.”
Meanwhile, Department of Migrant Workers Assistant Regional Director Jeannette E. Escano urged job seekers to maximize every opportunity available to them.
“Explore more opportunities and make the most out of them.”
For job seeker Chena Marie Pascual, perseverance remains essential in achieving one’s goals.
“To all job seekers, do not lose hope. Think about your dreams and the family you want to help and support.”
Among the participating agencies were the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Housing Authority (NHA), PAG-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
The strong collaboration among government agencies reflects the Provincial Government’s continuing commitment to bringing quality public services closer to the people and creating more opportunities that will help South Cotabateños build a more secure and prosperous future.
Through initiatives such as the T’nalak Job Fair, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato continues to strengthen its efforts to promote employment, empower workers, and improve the lives of its people by bringing meaningful opportunities closer to every community.
