The Office of the Provincial Agriculturist formally turned over today the Php850k worth of Multi-Purpose Drying Pavement(MPDP) to the Polonuling Rainfed Farmers Association located at Prk 4 Brgy. Polonuling, at Tupi town.
The Polonuling Rainfed Farmers Association has 37 member-beneficiaries with a service area of 35.5 hectares planted with rice, corn, coconut, and other high value-crops.
The turn-over ceremony was spearheaded by Ms. Joan Batobalani, Agricultural Research, and Support Services Division chief together with Punong Barangay Aser Consing, Brgy. Kagawad Wilfredo Alviar, MAFC President Freddie Balintongog and Municipal Agriculturist Roszhien Agustin.
In his message, Punong Barangay Consing expressed his gratitude to the provincial government for the facility granted to them.
“It is a big help for us farmers. This could lessen our expenses and time spent in drying our produce”, He said,
The OPAG on the other hand requests the farmer-beneficiaries to take good care of the MPDP and submit a utilization report to ensure that the members are using the said facility.
